Life for Dexter J. Daley has never been easy, but he’s always found a way to pick himself back up with a smile on his face. Taken from his home and the arms of Sloane Brodie, his boyfriend and THIRDS partner, Dex finds himself in a situation as mysterious and lethal as the Therian interrogating him. Dex learns what he’s secretly believed all along: his parents’ death wasn’t an accident.

Discovering the whole truth about John and Gina Daley’s homicide sets off a series of events that will change Dex and Sloane’s life forever. As buried secrets rise to the surface and new truths are revealed, Dex and Sloane’s love for each other is put to the test, with more than their relationship on the line. If traversing the waters of murder and secret government agencies wasn’t enough, something inexplicable has been happening to Dex—and nothing will ever be the same.

**My Salty Face**

I’m going to come out and say it. I think Charlie redeemed herself with this installment. I am one of the people who were pissed at the Ash & Cael’s, and Hobbs & Calvin’s book. I felt letdown, and was super disappointed. I didn’t feel that they got enough attention on them. FFS, Dex & Sloane are the power couple we know, but I would like to think that they would get a chance to play second fiddle and be okay with it.  I’m especially salty about Hobbs book, but I’ve let it go. I’ve let my sweet Hobbs be at peace.  I just wanted to speak my peace and drop it. Now onto my happiness of this book.

Fans of the Third Series are going to really like this book. I am really happy by the end of the book. We pick up directly from book 6. I liked it alot, and even put up Dex who grates on my nerves after a while. Dex surprised me as well. He was stoic at times, but you can count that towards being pensive and trying to see where this is all headed. I can’t say the outcome was unexpected for me. I figured it was going to happen, but didn’t know how! If only the bite was important in this series. LOL. We see Sloane question his self again and again. I can’t believe angry Ash is stating the bigger picture here. I really enjoyed Ash words of wisdom.

Secrets are finally revealed. I can’t reveal much because I don’t want to spoil it, but the action is one of the best things in the book. Sparks semi truths are coming out, and about darn time Seb & Hudson get their ish together. I’m so waiting on their book. All in all, I really liked this story. If feels like the end game is near. Don’t really know how many books are left, but with so many answers being in this book I’m not even sure who the bad guy is anymore. LOL. I like it that.

BTW, I want a Wolf.
