This year is all about healing the heart, Scorpio. It’s time to leave negative attitudes and stoic facades at the door and let others see the real, more vulnerable you.

Percy Freedman is not grieving. Absolutely not, take that back at once. No, he’s entirely sure that selling his dead aunt’s home and leaving the neighbors he’s known for years is the sane thing to do. Who in their right mind would keep the house that smells like all the hugs he’ll never have again?

Nobody, that’s who.

Well, except his cul-de-sac neighbors. They all seem to think some paint and new furniture will clean the emotional slate. They all want him to stay.

Even his nemesis, Callaghan Glover.

Especially his nemesis, Callaghan Glover.

Lured into a game of Sherlock Gnomes, Percy finds himself hanging out with his neighbors more than might be considered healthy. Along with juggling new and surprising verbal grenades from Cal, and his burgeoning friendship with Gnomber9, Percy is starting to wonder if selling might have been the grief talking after all . . .

That’s right, Scorpio. With a little patience, heartbreak might be a thing of the past . . .

five-stars

A billion gazillion hand hearts!

I had no clue, what this book would do to me. I read it about 2 weeks ago and didn’t write my review. I know, just crazy. Well I re-read it last night and got the same butterflies, love, stupid grin on my face by the end of it.

Scorpio Hates Virgo is one of my favorite books of the year! Its not many on this list, but there was no way it wasn’t going on it. I’m relatively new to Sunday’s writing, but after book 1 being a joy for me, I couldn’t say no to book 2. I was write. I adored it way more. Book 2 has such amazing banter, chemistry, love, and joy for these two.  They couldn’t be completely different if she tried writing it that way.

Percy is such a sweetheart. He’s dealing with the death of his family. Not his only surviving relative, but the only one who cares enough about him. He’s alone in this world after his breakup of Josh. He’s adamant about coming home to Aunt Abby’s house and getting things in order to sell it. Not knowing his all time nemesis Cal is going to thwart his plans every step of the way. First of all, I love that they are nemesis. If my love for Percy isn’t showing, then hell we’re doomed. Callaghan deserves to go on Best Book Boyfriend List forever. Everything about Cal was for me! He is studying for his Master’s in Jurassic Park Studies for FFS. LOL. Its really Paleontology but you get the gist. He’s amazing with his family, and offering help to others.

“A movie? I thought your idea of a night out would be the restricted section of the library.”

“It would have been but for that pesky rule that we can’t apparate into Hogwarts.”

“Crap.”

Everyone around them can see they belong together but the sexual tension and the love tension are off the charts. I’m certain they know when they have stopped being nemesis to each others and started being environmentalist. I swear, I wish I came up with the witty banter like these two. They are destined to be together, and I’m no Frodo but I believe in it wholeheartedly. Not only were these two a joy, but the side characters were amazing as well. Sunday did a really good job of creating such an eclectic bunch of characters. Love all their different personalities and the love they have for each other. Also, Sherlock Gnomes is something I might steal, and do with a select group of friends. I loved this game.

“Are you saying you know how much I don’t exactly despise you?”

“You’re an open book — my open book– and I’ve been studying you for a long time.”

“Stop reading me so well.”

I’ve highlighted the crap out of this book. Its definitely a re-read for me. Its a feel good romance, a real slow burner though, and about two people who loved each other for so long coming together to be finally be in love. Sunday has done an amazing job with this book. I look forward to her next installment. Hopefully something with Cancers we’re an awesome bunch after all. Highly recommend this book to all.

“I guess we really are earth and water.”

“Because together we’re mud?”

“Together we stick.”

“Scorpio Hates Virgo” contains sarcasm, sexual content, a slightly sappy HEA, and an unhealthy obsession with dinosaurs.
It can be read as a standalone.

Excerpt

The image of Cal in his shower stuck in his head like a nasty thorn, following him back to his place an hour later. It took a concentrated effort and a ton of porn to knock it from behind his retinas.

It really didn’t help when, on the edge of coming a second time, he realized he was sliding the soles of his feet over the sheets Cal had given him.

It knocked the generic porn-dude out of his head and he found himself imagining Cal’s form through lightly fogged glass.

Cal stroked himself, his thick cock sliding through a slickened hand. He choked on a groan, his head rolling back. His eyes widened when he glimpsed Percy on the other side of the door watching but his hand didn’t stop. He stroked faster. His voice was mellow and dripped of sarcasm. Sarcasm and curiosity. “Perseus.”

“Callaghan.” Percy entered the shower, straining and naked. He walked through the mist spraying off Cal’s gently coiled muscles and pushed him against the wall. “You’re not meant to star in my sex-fantasies.”

Cal set those measuring eyes on his, bottom lip parting, the slick sound of his working hand growing louder. On every upward stroke, his hand grazed Percy’s stomach. “Sex in the shower is one of your fantasies? How highly imaginative of you.”

“Since your favorite weapon is your mouth, I think that’s what you should use.”

“To what?”

“Ruin me for any other man.”

Cal dropped to his knees, looking up smugly. “Like my mouth doesn’t do that already.”

Percy’s toes curled and pinched the sheets, and his cock unloaded hot and heavy, the orgasm wringing through every damn inch of his body.

Well. Wasn’t this peachy?

three-half-stars

I am not a fan of the angst. She is not a fan of the angst. We are not a fan of the angst. I.HATE.THE.ANGST.

I got that out of my system. I don’t go looking for angst, because I always get so ragey made by midway through the book, but end up enjoying it. I don’t want to feel that way towards my books. I really liked Leo Loves Aries, and wanted to read more of this authors’ work. It’s a big difference of slow burn romance, and angst central. I can deal with slow burn romance, because the buildup of their love & devotion is so beautiful to watch. Angst is some hard core b.s. While I felt like the story was angsty enough, I also felt like March was over melodramatic. Put your pitchforks away and let me explain.

Marco went through a traumatic experience. I applaud him for having the strength to succeed in day to day things. During this traumatic time he was betrayed by someone he trusts. I get all of this. 16 is a hard age to adjust to and deal with. I think whatever happens during the time is life changing, but for Marco the one thing he didn’t expect with his fallout with his best friend Oskar. Someone he counts on, depends on, and loves deeply. Oskar has been his life force during this troubling time. But the betrayal came from Oskar. Marco hasn’t allowed himself to heal internally, and his hatred it seems for Oskar is damaging everything around him. His and Oskar’s family is friends/neighbors/family together. They’ve been in each others lives forever, and by the boys not being friends anymore its hard to adjust to. Fast forward to the present. Both guys are 20. Adults in every sense of the word. Oskar is moving back home after being away for 2 years. Marco is moving out of his home, and finding the independence that he needs. He doesn’t take into account Oskar moving back throws a wrench into his mental plan. Here’s my thing when they communicate or start to build up to where they were or could have been, I feel like Marco was stagnant in this sense. I get him being upset and mad. I get Oskar doing what he did. What I don’t get is an educated, smart person who plans to be a high school teacher, and was once a teacher holding a grudge for this long. At times I felt like every time Oskar was on page, and Marco didn’t like it was very melodramatic. Oskar practically begging for his forgiveness, and Marco defiantly holding his past against him. This is all my take on the situation. Its very easy for me to say these things, and not have it been about me.

I will say out of my melodrama comment, I did enjoy the story. I loved the author’s take on the chapter titles and meanings. It was super fun to see what each meant. This was an angsty friends to lovers romance, and outside of my quips on a certain situation I did enjoy it. I really am glad that I gave this a chance. I did fans of Sunday will love Marco & Oskar’s love for one another. It’s the best kind of romance when its a near friend of yours. I really loved Oskar as a character. He seemed so mature for his age, and even Marco who I felt could be lenient sometimes, but I understand it was a defense mechanism. It can be read as a standalone and a definite recommend.

A new person will enter your life in the early year, Leo. Look past any moments of frustration they might bring and laugh—this could be the start of a thriving friendship.

Theo Wallace usually laughs at the horoscopes his mom sends. Still hung up on his ex-girlfriend and practically friendless, this one begs him to reconsider. Because a friendship that stuck, that thrived…

Well, that would be a reason to leave past pains behind and look to the Bright Future.

When his sister Leone challenges him to find her the perfect date for a spring wedding, Theo uses it as a chance to make new friends. Theo’s ex economics tutor and newest roommate Mr Jamie Cooper seems to be a possible and convenient match. Real convenient. Like written in the stars, convenient.

All he has to do is make sure this Jamie is good enough. Could really be the one for her, and the friend for him.

But watch out, Leo, the stars have a surprise in store…

four-half-stars

This is the best reaction to 67%. I do not like angst of any kind, and this just took to long to happen, but when it did it was freaking magical.

Brace yourself ladies and gents, this is my first Anyta Sunday book. **Duck & covers**, I know. I honestly do not know how this happened.

Leo Loves Aries was such a witty, romantic, feel good story. I really enjoyed the easiness of the reading style. Everything was well written and flowed perfectly. Yes, it didn’t happen 13% in the book like I wanted to. Talk about Chemistry!!! I’ve started signing things like #CancerlovesPisces. These guys were super relatable. I honestly think Theo was the blind one here, he couldn’t see what was directly in front of his eyes, but when he did…. Boy, he went right in and went full throttle. It was no playing around for him. I am so in love with Jamie. Gosh my husband is the SHIT, but a Jamie is a needed necessity for 2017. He’s the type of guy who just wants to see you succeed, be happy and healthy. What more can you ask for?

This book made me happy. I love the little illustrations and factoids at the beginning of each chapter. I adore the parents alot. It shows what good parenting and upbringing produces. These were so responsible young adults. I love the relationship that each had with their counterpart. I adore Leone parts as well. Loved that her disability didn’t stop her from doing anything. She’s such an inspiration, and dare I say I would be interested in a Leone & Sam novel some day.

Gotta say, after reading this; the next day I went and read my horoscope and it said 2018 was my year. I got super excited. I use to be a big horoscope reader in my early twenties, I’ve gradually stopped, but I think I might go back to reading them. I do agree about compatibility when it comes to zodiac signs. I was involved with an Aries and we didn’t work out at all, but the Pisces and Cancer go together like fat girls and chocolate cake. Speaking from experience now folks. LOL. I am rambling, because I can go on, and on about how awesome they both are, but you read it! You don’t get to live vicariously through my fangirling, just know it made my Best of 2016 list and will leave you smitten and happy. I want to leave you with this quote because it means so much to me, it’s a line I used in my wedding vows, and to hear you say it to someone special means the world to them. It’s endearing and all encompassing when it comes to love.

Theo:You are not the best part of my day, you make my day.
