Raised in near seclusion by an agoraphobic mother, Davy Cooper s social skills are almost nonexistent. Now that his mother has died, he needs to make friends for the first time in his life. He catches Gavin Walker s eye, but the sexy, confident, bad boy hipster intimidates shy Davy so much that he throws away Gavin s number every time he offers it. When Gavin defends Davy from a rude guy, Davy begins to warm to him. However, with his limited experience, he thinks he and Gavin are too different, and anything more than a casual acquaintance will end in complete disaster.

This is definitely my favorite of Kade Boehme’s books to date. I’ve read most of his work, and this is definitely in a category by itself. First thing first, This cover though. I absolutely am in love with this cover model. His swag is present, that beanie, that little leg pose. I even love the sweater. It really helped with how Gavin is perceived to me in the story. This had the right combination between sweet & sexy. I liked Davy’s shyness. He was adorable, and he totally stepped up when ish hit the fan. I really was surprised at him social evolving throughout the story. Gavin’s a typical person. He gets hurt, and to make sure he doesn’t he sleeps his way around with no regards to anyone feelings. Okay, that’s fine with me. I liked that Gavin owned his inner hoe. He didn’t apologize for his past.

Kade did a really good job with the supporting characters. Ray is a winner in my books. His character was bittersweet to me. He was there to support Gavin, and teach him love & the definition of family. I’m a sucker for children in my stories; I just feel like the ending was kinda abrupt with no epilogue after that epilogue. I kinda wish we had gotten like a year later of some sort. I’d like to know how these guys are doing. If he could write a story out of anyone of the friends, definitely Sean needs his story told. I’d take Mason’s as well. I’d like to see something in this universe.

About Kade Boehme

Kade Boehme is a southern boy without the charm, but all the sass. Currently residing in New York City, he lives off of ramen noodles and too much booze. He is the epitomy of dorkdom, only watching TV when Rachel Maddow or one of his sports teams is on. Most of his free time is spent dancing, arguing politics or with his nose in a book. He is also a hardcore Britney Spears fangirl and has an addiction to glitter.

It was after writing a short story about boys who loved each other for a less than reputable adult website that he found his true calling, and hopefully a bit more class. He hopes to write about all the romance that he personally finds himself allergic to but that others can fall in love with. He maintains that life is real and the stories should be, as well.
